Sounded like a mildly watered down Trump speech with a hint of Goebbels and touch of Farage’s Fascism.

The EU is sympathetic but its hands are tied - and it only takes a majority vote to impose tariffs, not unanimity.
Yet another cost added to the price of this stupid Brexit argument.

We need quality steel for the ship building and arms manufacturing industries but they don’t need anything like the amount that’s being produced. It makes the whole steel industry unviable and dooms it to destruction.

50% tariff, rendering it beyond uncompetitive. Just when we need quality UK steel and so does Europe, what remains of our steel industry is basically about to be crushed by tariffs.
Having fought off a Chinese attempt to undermine and shut the plants, it now faces oblivion because it can’t sell its

STEEL MAKING IN UK FACES DISASTER AND ITS TRUMPS FAULT

78% of British Steel is exported to the EU and already gets a 25% tariff - one of the benefits of Nigel Farage’s Brexit, as before there were no tariffs.
Trump has placed such massive tariffs on steel imports into the US that cheaper Asian

doesn’t fit with McLarens aims and I suspect the promises they’ve made to Lando over the years.
militaryanalyst.bsky.social
I don’t think it matters. This is F-1 all over - how many slighted drivers have their been in championship races like this over the years? Big egos big prizes.
Why are we surprised that Lando gets the favouritism? It’s been obvious from day one.

If any suggestion has got Putin vexed to the point of making extreme comments this is it.
His position is that if the US sells Tomahawks to Ukraine then ‘it will destroy relations with Russia’.

Discernment and the ability to parse these fake stories requires education and questioning - and there’s not a lot of that going on in the US or European education systems. It will require multi-year revisions to education policy to get anywhere in helping the public understand.
