no one is arguing about the prod team being compensated for their labor. anyone who's modded a zine can tell you it's a lot of—sometimes thankless—work. the joy is in creating a project by/for the community & expressing love and passion for the work. it should NEVER come at the contributors' expense

no one is arguing about the prod team being compensated for their labor. anyone who's modded a zine can tell you it's a lot of—sometimes thankless—work. the joy is in creating a project by/for the community & expressing love and passion for the work. it should NEVER come at the contributors' expense

ultimately, i do agree with the sentiment that contributors should always research the mod team & compensation model before joining a fan project—but very specifically because of scenarios like this where artists are being denied proper compensation for their hard work.
