Forgot to add alt text. The picture is of a blue quilt with floral appliqué. As well as small pink appliquéd flowers.

I’d have to double check with him to remember when the shift took place, but it seems like it was early 2000s

What the hell. I’m sorry you get assholes in your comments. I’m glad you have a plan. We do as well. I just hope we never have to use it and worry about those without the means to flee.

Can confirm not just Baltimore. My kids did this as well as several other silly things. It’s fun. They love snow. I think they all made stuff up to add. 😂

Non-cooking person question… my husband would die for this. Lol. Do you just simmer it in a pot for a long time? Also, those last three ingredients… can you just get them in the meat section of the grocery? Sorry, these questions are dumb. But I think he would love this! 😊

This is beautiful. If you are able to find the citation please keep us posted! Japanese have a similar belief. They even have shrines specifically for leaving offerings for miscarriages and abortions for spirits whose chance to be born was delayed. I enjoy visiting those shrines. Peaceful.

Throw a little yuzu (citrus fruit) into your bath so you don’t catch cold, and eat all the foods that end in “n” for luck this year 😁

I’m so sorry you had to go through all of that. Thank you for always being so open about your faith and your struggles back then. It truly helped me understand and discover things about myself and also helped to prepare me to better support my own kid’s paths. 💜
