I thought the movie, The Prince of Tides, was better than the book. Usually I think books are better.

I also think books are often better than the movies. One exception for me was The Devil Wears Prada. I saw the movie first and thought the book would be even better. Ended up being disappointed and preferring the movie. Meryl Streep lifts up anything she is in. #CatChatBookClub

3. So, I’m sure it won’t surprise you that, overall, we see the book as far superior to the film 😹 The significant changes really diminish the impact of the story This happens so often, doesn’t it? #CatChatBookClub
We highly recommend “Chocolat” the novel. You’ll devour it!

For comparison, we also watched the film of “Chocolat” 🎥 which is based on the book #CatChatBookClub
Mum did enjoy the film; v pleasant viewing but although many elements of the written story were included, they were significantly altered & in different order 🙀 (2 of 3…cont)

For the #CatChatBookClub “Books which became MOVIES” theme, Mum chose to read “Chocolat” by Joanne Harris, which she enjoyed just as much as a bar of 🍫 itself! 😹 The story was lovely & moving, the characters super. Magical. Good messages to take away from it. (1 of 3…. cont)
