Sometimes I write stuff in an IDE or design in Figma and it comes out okay-ish

Mad God (2021? But not really 2021?)

Genuinely, what the fuck is happening?

Such a visually appalling and disgusting but stunning piece of art, holy fuck I want more like this

NR but if I had to 8/10

So beautiful and dirty, but genuinely holy fuck what happened, this doesn't feel like it was made by human beings for human beings

Possessor (2020)

"Get out of my head"

- DJ Spit from Smiling Friends

Possessor presents a lot of interesting ideas, has a fantastic soundtrack and good visuals, but falls short in developing them, leaning more into shock which is a shame, still good tho

6.7/10

Great visuals, great soundtrack, great ideas and... a somewhat fine execution? The movie leans a little too much into shock for my liking instead of developing and focusing on the ideas it presented/p...

The Menu (2022)

Damn they really do be eating, big letdown, the start had me hooked up and then it went downhill so fast, it became a generic thriller with nothing really interesting or innovative, falls into a lot of boring tropes, such a shame

The Shining (1980)

Heartbreaking: Racist white man goes crazy because he couldn't get a beer
It feels a little aged, GREAT camera work, good thriller/drama, not so good horror, the way Jack dies is hilarious tho lol

7/10? Idk, hard to rate if I'm being honest

Mind Game (2004)

This one made me cry. This is up there with the best of Masaaki Yuasa it's such an abstract and erratic piece that ends up being about something really grounded in reality, the ending part made me tear up with a very wide grin, I love a ton

I love most of Masaaki Yuasa's work, this was no different. This is such a wild and unique film, it definitely shows it was the first time Yuasa was in the seat as a director. The best way I can descr...

Tron: Ares (2025)

This one is so fucking bad holy shit, the only salvageable thing is the NIN OST and I am ashamed of NIN being associated to this movie.

At least it has pretty visuals I guess?

Bullet Train (2022)

Good laughs, Lemon is the GOAT, it's a fun watch with friends or family, nothing complex tbh recommend it purely on the basis that it has the funnies and I never thought they could make Thomas & Friends something I'd laugh at.

CSM: Reze Arc (2025)

Amazing job adapting what I think (and possibly) is the best arc in the manga, and it does so beautifully. Amazing OST, animation was on point where it mattered the most. I wanted more and more of it. I think that's the best compliment I can give to it.
