it’s so bittersweet to reach through time and imagine these friends like they’re right there in front of me. we’re all quilts made of people we’ve known.

another childhood friend has an aunt who calls yoghurt «jog-hurt», and i still think about that every time i’m in the dairy aisle. we played sims together almost daily, i think about her whenever i make a new brunette sim with long hair and freckles.

one time when we were about 10, she got a daily calendar for christmas where you would tear off the page to show the next day. the calendar also showed name days, so she immediately tore her calendar apart so i could have the piece with my name on it (sometime in june).
