Thank you so much for supporting Mind, Özlem! 💙 ^Elen

While we're certain your project will represent mental health issues respectfully, we have to adopt this policy in order to prioritise the mental wellbeing of our supporters.

If you would be interested in fundraising in a different way, we would be delighted to still have your support 💙 ^Bekah

This is because we have a very large and diverse supporter base and in order to protect our brand and the wellbeing of our supporters, we have to make sure that everything in the public eye with Mind branding reflects our values.

We're incredibly touched that you'd like to support Mind. Unfortunately, we are not able to endorse, or accept fundraising from material that we have not been involved in creating ourselves. This includes single releases, publications and some artwork.

Last year, the average length of stay in a mental health hospital was longer for under 18s than most adult groups.

We urgently need more funding and investment in early mental health support to prevent these long hospital stays. 6/6

CTOs rose by 17% last year. That’s not progress.

The bill needs to be reformed. Limit CTOs to 12 months and address the racial disparities. 5/6

Community Treatment Orders (CTOs) don’t work. They don’t stop hospital readmissions and people don’t know how to get off them.

Black people are 8.5 times more likely to be put on one. 4/6

There were 52,000 detentions under the Mental Health Act in 2024/2025.

Black people were 4 times more likely to be detained. 3/6

When will the UK government properly address the
serious issues with the Mental Health Act?

It needs urgent and more ambitious reform to tackle racial injustices and to better support young people. 2/6

Mental health support isn’t equal.

People from racialised communities face worse outcomes and unfair treatment.

The UK government needs to go further to stamp out racism in the Mental Health Act for good

These stats below are from England only. 1/6

We’re seeing a lot of racist rhetoric in the UK right now, including against refugees and asylum seekers. That feels frightening and exhausting - especially for those of us from racialised communities.

Seeing this so close to home can be scary. And it can take a toll on our mental health.
