How many other people are out there right now who were also inspired by Dr. Goodall? Who can say, but it must be many, many people.

...(3) I still clearly remember the moment when I realized, "Wow...I'm in the same room as Jane Goodall." Now, all these years later, here I am: a philosopher, cognitive scientist, and primarily, a teacher.

Here's a little reaction and analysis video I recently did for Carleton University on Robotics and AI in sci-fi (and real life!)

I think those who are developing these AI systems haven't given sufficient thought to embodiment. This is interesting given the emphasis on 4E cognition we've seen in philosophy of mind and the other cognitive sciences over the last little while. Seems not many AI folk listen to the philosophers 🤔
