Realizing your script jumped from 25 pages to 60. So satisfying.

Happy to say today was a great writing day. Inspiration came out of nowhere and the script I'm working on got a massive makeover. A lot of edits but it's all to make the narrative stronger and more impactful. I always struggled with the "stakes" but now it's developed in a way I never thought.

Writing can be tricky. The process I like to follow for creating my outline and moving forward to the script is Snyder's beats. I think it's a great SKELETON to start but the script doesn't have to follow the page guide to the T. So long as the beats happen, set the pace to your liking.

Thanks to some friends, I was able to hold a table read for the first Act of a script I'm currently working on. With their help I was able to catch some mistakes and issues that would have caused me hell later on in the script. Happy to say I can move on to Act 2. Wish me luck.

Hilarious movie with amazing gore and graphic deaths. The timing of jokes is excellent. It doesn't harm the horror aspects of the film but truly elevate it. Theo James' provides a great performance--deadpan has never been funnier.
One recommendation, keep your wedding on the ground.

What started off as a simple outline on a page has now started to consume one of my living room walls. Outlining and planning a new script is the most frustrating part for me but it’s also my favorite. The way ideas jump around and make sudden connections resulting into a fully fledged script.

Getting back to creating. Filmed a horror comedy sketch for a larger idea earlier last year. Happy I can finally sit down and work on it!
