Well yes, but this was as cut and dried as somebody alerted campus safety that somebody was coming in who shouldn’t be there; the simple fix is have more campus safety officers in that area to respond to and detain the person. Hindsight is 20/20 but this could have been an easy catch.

Sad but true. Brown is arguably the safest *urban* campus in the Ivy League but it couldn’t stop somebody with a vendetta who evidently made his grudge apparent to people with a watchful eye and a protective mindset

The buck stops with him unfortunately, and a brave custodian tried to warn campus safety somebody was up to no good and they didn’t heed that.

He fucked up big time. There were signs that the shooter was up to no good weeks before it happened and a brave custodian tried to do the right thing and alert campus safety and they didn’t do anything.

Good. The interim guy is a 40+ year veteran of Providence Police, including serving as chief, and served in the justice department under Biden.

Should be abundantly clear to everyone by now that he made his *fortune* by buying things with money that isn’t his and slapping his name in gold on them.

They always do; that’s what happens when you’re both too stupid and too self-interested to wield power effectively.

Blueberry pie a la mode with maple flavored ice cream.

Don’t ask, just try it.

This makes more sense when you realize it’s Rubio, not Hegseth, behind most of this.

He’s been obsessed with regime change in Latin America for as long as he’s been in politics.

I’m sure it’s a complete coincidence that the Nobel Prizes for 2025 are being announced next week

Noticeably neither of them are wearing wedding bands.

People selling themselves out to people richer than they'll ever be and will cut them off the moment they stop being profitable.

The only time I have ever seen a Republican change their position is if it happens to them personally. I won't rule that out but yes, it is unlikely.

OK, so he latched himself onto a movement that a malignant movement bears responsibility for fomenting and sustaining. Doesn't change the fact that it'll be those people who have to change their ways, and perhaps his widow might humble herself and see a greater good her deceased husband didn't.

In many ways, he created the very monster that would lead to his demise. It is tragic that he left behind a wife and two small children who were just off-stage, but if I were them, I would consider their loved one's death in vain if no serious effort by his peers to stop this crystallizes.

The right will never take accountability for the conditions they bear significant responsibility for. The only possible explanation I can think of is it is financially lucrative to say the most unhinged shit in order to attract attention/dollars.

And if it doesn’t and instead it becomes a massive capex gorilla on the back?

Yes I know what gerrymandering is. I also don’t like living in a country where the democratic minority in both the house and the senate has a higher standard of living than the republican majority

We get the leaders we deserve unfortunately

Don’t forget he was one of the first senators to endorse the big lie

I guess sharing your bare asscheeks on the real world makes a eunuch of a man when he has to assume responsibility for the country in his capacity

Never forget; the people that voted for his opponent nearly six months ago account for nearly 2/3 of US GDP and pay the majority of federal taxes.

If you’re one of those people who says “you borrowed, you pay,” a wave of defaults would cost far more than the federal government simply abiding by its end of the contract (these are contracts, after all).
