Rsync for backup. dd for disk imaging.
LuckyBackup will automate the rsync setup.
I don't know a good GUI for dd. But it's a pretty straightforward command in my use.

Making a sword would be really satisfying to do!

I am still pondering ways one could be made gender-swappable. Not with SPHs, mind you. Velcro? Magnets? A stuffed Boink Guard uniform?
