If you like beautiful manga (and heart-wrenching stories), I recommend The Girl from the Other Side. I have all four deluxe edition volumes and reading it always rekindles my love for fairy tales and storytelling.

I’ll remember your long breath after a bout of laughter, and I’ll remember your words when they’d flow as uninhibited and eternal as a cascading river. I’ll remember the rasp in your voice before you fell asleep, and I’ll remember the softness of your sighs when the silence settled. Time will pass, as it always has. From stardust we came; to stardust we shall return. But in the fleeting miracle of our coexistence, we found a love that will long outlive us both. Perhaps someday, we will come together to build a new planet. As blue as the sky, as green as your eyes. Perhaps we will be binary stars, dancing around one another as the universe expands around us. Whatever we become, I hope to stay by your side. Wherever we go, however far the universe scatters our stardust, the love we found here will remain.
