Gender, Online Safety, and Sexuality (GOSS) Workshop is back at SOUPS 2025! Research on GOSS-related topics is more important than ever.

the program will also include a panel with experienced researchers about reflexivity in research, foreshadowing a CSCW 2025 workshop (i.e., GOSS attendees at SOUPS will get a sneak peek 😉 )

a growing body of sec & priv researchers work to mitigate harms to communities marginalized by gender or sexuality, e.g., intimate partner violence, image-based sexual abuse, LGBTQIA+ / womens’ / girls’ online safety. esp. now -- let’s share ideas, stimulate conversations, and build solidarity.

we're accepting two types of submissions:
a) full paper (4900-7200 words) or
b) commentary piece (2200-3700 words)

- provoke discussion
- inspire new research agendas
- systematize existing bodies of knowledge
- critique existing approaches
- offer original case studies or research
