I don't live in the US ... but, like so many around the world, I am appalled by the current decisions and inaction of the current US gov to abuse the nation's hegemony. This article by Dr Ellis is poignant.

It would have been a more insightful Leaders' Debate on ABC last night if David Speers had asked Peter Dutton and Anthony Albanese why they are relatively silent about the society-destroying issues of gambling and the continued, insidious destruction of Australia's natural environment.

If you draw a 'grin' without a 'face', will people recognise it as a grin?

Can you define 'happiness' outside a frame of reference? It's a fundamental question in the current book I'm reading, "The Happiness Industry: How the Government and Big Business sold Us Well-Being" by William Davies.
