There is a topic I really wanted to make a book about and it sat in my brain for years before I finally figured out a way to make it work and put pen to paper. It's out on sub now and if it doesnt sell, I will probably rework it because I really, really, want to make a book about it. #kidlitchat

I move on from a project if I get stuck & can't figure a way out. I might come back to it later because time=new perspectives. If no one likes what Im working on, but I believe in it, I'll figure a way to repackage & tweak it so it works. So I guess I'd never ditch a projct I believe in. #kidlitchat

I agree with @debbieohi.com that every book I work on is a learning opportunity. I keep each project and some of the research in a folder. But I try to delete reference photos after a year so they dont take up space on my drive. I had hundreds of reference photos for my nonfiction books. #kidlitchat
