As I suspected, pencils lay down much better on a watercolor layer than on gouache
trying to keep learning new things. Free time is limited (unfortunately), so I try to squeeze in a few minutes of theory study during work breaks.

Not exactly what I expected—penciling over gouache was pretty tough (maybe my pencils aren’t soft enough). Next time planning to test watercolor as the base
