Day five of my husband being out of town. Today's agenda for wild partying consists of adjusting the coffee grinder's grind size because damn, have we really been doing all our pourovers for the past year with the biggest coarsest grind possible?

They’re not well-balanced humors, Josh

This research book is such an interesting read but it’s a bit rough going sometimes

If you've been into coffee, you won't be surprised to hear there's a similar discourse about water temperature and steeping times for tea. Personally I'm very lazy and leave the leaves in to keep steeping, and I find that black teas can handle this kind of oversteeping more gracefully than green tea

Some of my favorite types of tea:
-Pu-erh: Really good for waking you up, if you don't mind drinking something that smells downright fermented
-Gunpowder green: Nice standard everyday drink
-Genmaicha: Savory comfort drink, like a hot bowl of porridge
-White tea: A delicate flowery tea for Aesthetic

Are you primarily looking for flavor, or for caffeine?

It's day four of my husband being out of town, and lest you think I'm spending this week purely on frivolous enjoyments, let me assure you that in the last few days I have learned far more about what ancient medical texts have to say about infections, pus, and suppuration than I ever wanted to know

Happy birthday! I hope the cake tastes as good as it looks!

Hope you find something you enjoy! There's a really wide variety of solo journaling RPGs out there, and these are just a selection from my personal faves, so if none of these appeal, keep looking!

Naturally I'll recommend my own - Her Odyssey is the most popular and Galatea is my most polished, to date: mirror-lock.itch.io

I'll also vouch for the quality of Tangled Blessings by Cassi Mothwin, Paramour by Wren Goderie, and One More Song by Ex Stasis Games, all of which you can search on Itch.

I figure that MtG art cards are equally evocative and provide a good substrate for symbolism and interpretation.
Eight collectible art cards from various sets of Magic: the Gathering.

A number of solo journaling TTRPGs provide prompts for your journal entries by having you draw tarot cards and looking up the card you drew on a table, but also encourage you to interpret the imagery you see on the card and weave that in, giving you a richer experience based on your particular deck.

seriously considering playing my next tarot-driven journaling game with a deck of MtG art cards instead

look, I tried, but there’s just no way to romanticize getting a chipped tooth fixed 🤷‍♀️
