But if I were to go solely on pens new to me this year, I think I really liked my Pelikan M200. A grail pen of mines and once I got it more comfortable, I really loved writing with it. Esterbrook JR I want to love, but I've been having hard starts with it so that alone edges Pelikan over it.

I think my best purchase was my Kakuno. Tbf I've had kakunos before so I know how they feel. But one in a color I love just felt yet.

It's currently inked with Diamine Cocoa Shimmer. I just got it because I thought it would match the pen vibes well.
Plus I heard Diamine shimmer inks are some of most forgiving on pens so Yolo.

Gotta put it through the paces but so far it's comfortable.
I have it inked with Ferris Wheel Press Russet Typecast. Kinda forgot I got it with my more recent order from them. It's like the lighter shading of colorverse coffee break. So I think I'll like it. Matches the gold trim of the pen well.
