The HD upscales were a godsend for 3d modeling references. Analyzing features on grainy 480p stills is a nightmare

My guess is they chose the Ninja Megazord for the movie since it's closer in design to the Dino and Thunder Megazords. Then they started with Ninja in season 3 for cross promotion. Season 3 had so much new footage that the original order didn't make that much of a difference.

Absolutely! When pulling reference photos for my Thunder Megazord sword 3d model, I kept noticing the Dino Megazord sword in frames. They spliced together Dairanger and Zyuranger footage in season 2, leading to a lot of creative workarounds

The child is a much larger part of the Zyuranger episode (14). They probably wouldn't have had enough footage for the fight if they cut out all parts with him in it

That's maybe half of the coins lol. Still have to do the pommel and a little cleanup for the sword, but it's coming together nicely!
