🚨The new story-based seasons likely mean we'll never see a continuation for any of the alternate universes from Overwatch 2. That said, I still want to commit to this account being dedicated to Mirrorwatch, especially with there being tons to write about with the new lore and heroes. More to come.

The reason behind this has to be for expanding the Overwatch universe beyond the video game. That is, for a mobile game or TV show. They were hiring for a creative director to do exactly this.

First thing I thought with mw!Freja was, what if she rescued Mei? Either after becoming leader of S&R or on a solo mission after Overwatch disbanded. She could continue to do rescue missions, answer the Recall, and maybe change her feelings about omnics along the way.

It's implied that Venture's SMART-R Excavator was designed by Torbjorn, so if Torb's with Talon, it can make sense for Venture to be there as well.

Another option could be Vishkar. We know they have a presence in Canada, where Venture canonically resided for some time. We also know they have family in Mexico, so maybe Los Muertos could work as well.

This one is fun, because I can see several options for mw!Venture. First, the best fit would have to be the Deadlock Rebels, as they'd be chasing the same thrill of discovering artifacts and other loot, albeit in a more unlawful fashion.

If Hazard hadn't been injured from the Overwatch dropship crash in Glasgow, he likely would've continued to serve in the military, and maybe even feel inspired to pursue a role in Overwatch himself. But Overwatch disbands before that can happen, and is offered employment at Helix instead.

But Jack urged Ashe to reconsider, not wanting to see her talents wasted. He promised her a role that'd be unbound by bureaucracy, where she could run missions her own way as long as she could get the job done. Ashe accepted, on the condition that B.O.B. would continue to be by her side. (2/2)
