The best cure for buying too many books is to not worry about buying too many books.

Okay, tomorrow it is, then. I'm assuming "she" doesn't want to delay any longer.

I honestly don't understand how these Trumpites can simply say "I'm not answering your question" like this. Isn't there some way of holding them in contempt?

What always strikes about this rancid slab of meat is that 90% of the time he tells people he knows everything there is to know about whatever topic is being discussed, and that nothing happens that he doesn't know about.
The other 10% he denies all knowledge of things he *must* know about.

If you had, we'd know your account had been hacked. Good to know all is well and as it should be 🙂

Well that'll shut up all those people who say this country isn't progressive.
It's taken a mere 500 years to get to this point.

How many of these investigations into the Met do we have to have before we can say things have finally changed?? There seems to have been one every couple of years as far back as I can remember.

I'm so saddened to hear this. I could never have imagined I would feel this deeply ashamed of my country. I was, perhaps naïvely, unaware of just how many thoroughly nasty racists and bigots we have here. Sadly, I suspect this has always been the case, but they have become more emboldened lately.

A quite remarkable little book, which I would wholeheartedly recommend hunting out. Thanks to @neglectedbooks.com, who recommended this one quite a while ago. I finally got round to reading it and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Apart from the message (which is of course absolutely spot on), it's worth taking a moment to reflect on her eloquence and coherence versus the rancid imbecile currently infesting the WH, who for the life of him can't even form a sentence, let alone string two together.

AOC: "This will experiences the consequences of this, but we have to be the consequence. Which is why we have to stand tall right now alongside everyday Americans who want us to be standing up."

I only have one copy of it, but it's the book I've *read* most often. I credit it with doing exactly what it was intended to do and igniting the imagination of a bored little boy more years ago than I care to precisely enumerate!
