We rented ebikes in Kyoto and I turned the pedal assist off for most of my riding because I am stubborn and I have range anxiety (also didn’t love the random acceleration) BUT I ALSO HAVE A 12% GRADIENT HILL ON MY WAY TO WORK 🙃

I have a perfectly good bike to get to work and run errands with really only 1 hill to contend with. I also have a very expensive sporty bike for cycling event purpose. But today…today I did really really wish my bike had a goddamn motor
