The most devastating cost is in destruction of bushland, wildlife, house & farm infrastructure and food production. That heat comes with horrific bushfires and drought.

Malinasukus seems to have imploded along with the writers week. Wrong steps every which way; the worst being that shite about the 15 terrorists. Seeing poor judgement doubled down on like that is quite something.

Blind Freddy could see this was always a sop to the US. It kinda worked (mostly for the US) when there was an assumption the US would always be our friends. Now, though, that assumption seems foolish in the extreme.
