epic has infinite fortnite money. they can do whatever they want. if they wanted a feature complete clone of steam, they could have done that. instead, they put out a barely functional site and payed developers for exclusivity. they didn't entice users with features, they took games hostage.

like, would competition make the 30% seem unreasonable? possibly. would the consumer experience be way worse? almost definitely.

i think we're talking two different points here. i'm saying that nobody seems to want to make a game store as good as steam, and even if they did separating the market would be a pain in the ass because of exclusives. you're saying that steam sucks because they take a cut of the profits. i agree.

i mean yea, but you didn't explain what you meant. my first comment was genuine. remember back when every publisher was trying to make its own game store and some people had like 8 different buggy store programs on their pc? that sucked.

steam has a monopoly because nobody has made a store as good as steam in like 20 years. it's like the one time a monopoly hasn't been a total disaster for an industry. let's be real, EGS getting big would be worse than steam staying in charge.

i literally just claim the free game every week unless i forget. i think they have to pay for it or something. i wish i could download all the games and play them without their crappy launcher though.

i tried watching heroes a few years ago and i don't think it should be on this list. it wasn't good to begin with.
