no shade at anyone & this isnt abt the oc questions ive been answering, but sometimes when i check the feed theres a question being repeated within a day of someone else asking and im not sure if its
1) ppl blocking each other
2) ppl being copycats
3) same-brain syndrome
but its kinda funny to me :3

she still claims she doesn't like "people", but it's not because she holds them in disdain - it's because she does enjoy being around people, but only at a comfortable distance. she doesn't "belong" with normal people, but appreciates them anyway- and sometimes even tries to fit in.

it's not a change i made specifically, but it is a result of several narratives having the same result: anri has become a lot more "socialized" than when i started rping her. strangers are no longer potential enemies that mean to do her harm, but instead mildly-disliked clean slates

random thought but an alternate read of anri (instead of "living weapon without a war") would be the antithesis to "prophecy without a hero": a hero without a prophecy. born as the last daughter of a line of voidhunters, spending her whole life training her combat prowess & studying her enemy... ->

i want u all to imagine anri hanging around someones shop and just casually sweeping the floor, helping them reach the top shelf, holding random things for them and fetching them whatever they ask for. head empty, no thoughts, only basic menial tasks.

anri's ideal comfort day involves (not literally) attaching herself to a close friend; following them around and helping them go about their day. she's an adventurer at heart, but the coziest days to her are the ones where she can indulge in the comfort of "normalcy".

meeting juliette was a fresh start. anri never had anywhere to call home or come back to after her misadventures; anyone she knew before then was a vagabond like her. through her unconditional kindness, julie reignited anri's desire to be a better person- if only to pay it forward.

losing her family led to her being "adopted" / recruited by the golden roses, who turned her into the formidable fighter & deeply troubled soul she is

losing soleil has pushed her into a downward spiral, but also reignited the spark to try and be kind even if it goes horribly wrong

there were three.
1) losing her family to ishgardian noble infighting
2) losing soleil to the inquisition for "heresy" (unsanctioned use of conjury to heal the sick of the brume)
3) meeting juliette

each one had a profound effect on the trajectory of her life from that moment on.

i draw a line between what's in-character and what's not! anri doesn't make sense as a WoL bc her whole deal is that she's *not* special in any way but *still* gets things done (though nothing at the same scale as the WoL ofc).

i just treat the WoL as good ol meteor survivor :3
