aka Kay, reader, schoolmarm, spinster, Montrealer. Reluctant cook, inept walker. Retiring, but not retired. I support the right to be cold.
Thank you so much. People like you make the world better. You’re the best of America. ❤️❤️

Thank you so much. It shakes you up and asks “who are you?”, this disease.

That’s the hardest, most humbling part. How often and much you fail at care-giving. Not feeling alone helps more than anything. You’re doing the most important thing to help, listening. I had friends, including online ones, who did that for me. It kept me sane & got me through the days.

Thank you so much, Rohan, I’m glad to see you do the same. May we both have a peaceful year. Friends, books, meaningful work.

Thank you very much. Visiting my mother in the care home has helped me realize how many families struggle with the same. I told the nurses they saved two lives when my mother was placed. I’m glad this worked out for your family too.

She was overwhelmed by the sight of 300 silent girls, grade 7 to 11. When she finished speaking, they all stood up. She’s an MP and gun control advocate. Impressive lady. Exactly my age.

One of the survivors spoke at our school, a girls school, on the Monday after the anniversary.

I can’t even drive by the Dec 6th memorials without bursting into tears. And remembering the slow, frozen climb to UdeM to the 14 white coffins. I was a McGill grad student at the time & in the MacLennan Library and ran into the snow when we heard about what was happening.

We just commemorated Dec 6, anniversary of the Polytechnique shootings, Montreal massacre. Still devastating.
