Hello, spooky season! 👻 🎃 Ghouls, goblins and ghosts might be the superstars this month, but we're going to do our best to let sharks upstage them a bit. 😉 🦈

All month long we're bringing you some fun shark facts to make October just a little more ghostly. Our first fact is all about: TEETH!

Super cool read from the Los Angeles Times!

Our very own Jaida Elcock and A-bel Gong were recently interviewed by the LA Times to discuss the 50th anniversary of "Jaws" and how some good PR about sharks could bring many positives for the ocean. 🌊

Read it below! 🦈
A PR makeover for sharks (think ‘Jaws’) could do a whole lot of good for the ocean
The film 'Jaws' has historically given sharks a bad rap, but the 50th anniversary can breathe new life into caring about the ocean.

Showing others that nature is healing while advocating for sharks is just another day for Grace. 🦈

She’s blending her passion for mental health, the ocean, and education all while completing her internship with MISS!

Sharks aren’t just the coolest apex predators, they’re also protectors. 🦈 By keeping prey populations in line, sharks help coral reefs thrive & maintain balance in the ocean. Our fascination for them also inspires global #conservation efforts, so basically they can be really great PR for the ocean.

Imagine taking a spontaneous trip to Thailand that taught you the importance of slowing down & also changing your entire perspective about sharks. 🦈 For MISS intern Ky, that was a lived experience explained beautifully on the most recent entry of the MISS blog.
