In case anyone is interested in my process, what I did was print out the words on parchment paper ..not all printers can do this, but my HP7640 has been known to print vellum so I gave it a try. #quiltsky

So excited my daughter just picked me up a 1951 Singer Featherweight at an estate sale in DC for 75% off of the $525 price tag, all kinds of attachments and including a buttonholer. I was born in 1951 and I’ve always wanted one from that year. Looks to be in great shape.

Working from the excellent poster that now symbolizes our resistance, this is raw edge appliqué technique I learned from @lindadiakquilts which will be the center piece of a wall hanging for my daughter who lives in DC. It will be surrounded by one fingered salutes.

Finally finished after almost a year sitting on my longarm. Injured my knee in January and it was a long recovery so it sat there undone. Then I couldn’t figure out how to quilt it. I am happy with how it turned out. I especially love the plaid binding. #quiltsky

I bought this paper-pieced pattern but the tiny pieces tried my patience so I converted it to raw edge appliqué. I’ve done 2 so far …my daughter has voted for a whole quilt. We’ll see. #quiltsky
