The Shoshana Bean holiday show was in a different kind of space this year. It felt more like a lounge act. It was magical, and I got a candy cane 😊

Okay. So. My parents are driving up here. Everything is fine. But all evening whenever I tried to call or text either of them, nothing would go through. They're good, except that I freaked them out when I answered the phone sobbing in relief.

I went to see the proshot of Merrily We Roll Along this afternoon. Now I'm trying to figure out if I can go see it again. Every single person in that cast was acting their ass off.

Got on the subway with a couple of heavy bags, and of course it took off just as I was aiming my ass toward a seat. I had to contort myself in interesting ways to avoid hitting anyone with my stuff. I'm pretty sure I looked just like this

I still wear masks in crowded places and public transit, especially in colder weather. Occasionally there'll be someone who gives me a little eye roll about it. Until people start hacking up their lungs, without even an attempt to cover their mouths. Then I get the 'do you have an extra' side eye.

I have windows open, fans going, it's 44 goddamn degrees outside, and I'm sweating up a fucking storm. If I turn the radiators off, they make all kinds of unholy noises. So I guess I'm turning my AC back on 🫠
Radiator is still loud, just not 'scare me into a heart attack' loud. At least, not so far.
And there are tenants in this building who should really consider moving to warmer climates. Why am I slow roasting in my apartment when it's only 50 degrees out?

I've been a Coheed fan for 20 years. It's kind of insane to think about how much time that is.

Well apparently, the whole building had this problem, and new valves should have fixed it. Won't know until the radiators are running full blast. They've been on (unnecessarily, in my opinion, I'm damn near melting) for a couple of days now, and I will say, overall, not as noisy.
My living room radiator is driving me insane. For the last few weeks, it's been making a loud cracking noise that literally makes you feel like the floor's gonna fall out from under you if you're standing near it. Nothing is actually wrong. It's just disruptive, and scary, and keeping me up at night
