We need your help to decorate the school Christmas tree! Have fun making an eco-friendly decoration at home by recycling some everyday materials and bring it in to school to hang in the hall. 🎄

We enjoyed working on and testing our roman catapults made with Mr Shave at the woodwork bench this week. We worked out which cotton ball had gone furthest when launched from our catapults to great excitement! #STEM #woodwork

We used pictures and a sorting task last week to spark a class discussion on what are friendly and unfriendly behaviours. We were all in agreement that we want our classroom to be a friendly place. #Anti-bullyingWeek

We enjoyed a taste of woodwork this week, working with Mr Shave to have a go at sawing and sanding. We were delighted with our windmills, and enjoyed exploring how to catch the wind and watch them spin! #STEM #woodwork

Primary 1 pupils enjoyed a shared reading session with their Primary 6 buddies this morning. Lots of lovely engagement in sharing stories together.

There was lots of excitement when we found all sorts of signs of Autumn on our walk. We used what we noticed and the wonderful book ‘The Lost Words’ by Robert McFarlane and Jackie Morris to help us and inspire us when we wrote about what we found.

A spot of outdoor Maths today during @mathsweek.scot thinking about amounts and how they are made up. Pupils used natural materials to make numbers on tens frames and look for pairs that make 5. #Numbertalks #outdootlearning

Lots of creativity and excitement was unleashed this week as pupils discovered their mini mes. Pupils included them in all sorts of imaginative play, building houses for their mini mes out of blocks and sending them on voyages. #BeingMe #roleplay#imagination

We enjoyed meeting our school gerbils, Snowy and Moon, this week thanks to a handling session with Mrs Brown. We got a chance to stroke or hold them and learned about how to look after them. Snowy and Moon were a hit!

We enjoyed a visit to the library today. We chose a book to share at home. Our library day will be on a Thursday so remember to return books each week so a new one can be chosen. 📚
