This book is on my to read list! My grandmother had TB before they had antibiotics. She was in a sanitorium for almost 2 years and they collapsed one of her lungs, but she survived. She lived into her 70s

Have you read it already? Tey died young, so I think she only wrote 7 or 8 books. But she’s really good at turning old tropes on their heads

Hmmm 🤔 I generally read mostly old British murder mysteries these days. How about the Josephine Tey novel where her detective is laid up in a hospital bed and decides to solve the mystery of Richard III and the disappearing princes in the Tower? I think it’s called The Daughter of Time?
