Europe seems like it’s stepping up, now, and starting to commit better financial support to Ukraine’s military defense. There’s still hope for 🇺🇦

And . . . if you voted for Trump, you got a real treat plus no healthcare.
December 12, 2025 at 3:09 PM
. . . at least not from the U.S., it won’t. You’re right that Trump is feckless, here. But Europe could step up with a strong coalition of nations to support Ukraine. If this were to happen, the U.S. might (stress on “might”) join that coalition.

Yes. Great answer.

Yikes. Now that’s dense.

Fair enough.

Here’s why I replied to you: I don’t disagree that we’ve got an issue with gov’t surveillance and lack of privacy. But, once we frame an emerging issue as our having “surveillance state,” it’s a done deal. The fight is lost. It’s over. And I want us all to protest that, so we retain our privacy.

Couldn’t disagree more, Nick. Governor Pritzker just signed a bill giving immigrants (. . . and Illinoisans) more protections from ICE enforcement sweeps. abc7chicago.com/post/gov-jb-...
Pritzker signs bill increasing immigrant protections at Illinois courthouses, hospitals and more
HB 1312 is aimed at protecting immigrants from what the governor calls unjust enforcement.

Well said. I think so too.
December 11, 2025 at 11:36 PM
lol! 😂
December 11, 2025 at 11:35 PM
Not yet it’s not. The U.S. is sliding towards a “surveillance state” under Trump, but the people are objecting and, so far, the courts are largely halting and/or slowing the slide. And, the media, are covering the slide as well. Don’t stop objecting and protesting. Support right minded Indianans.

Okay, “war crimes,” among which genocide can be a war crimes. So, assuming there are prosecutable war crimes in Gaza, who committed the crimes? Just Israeli fighters/leaders, alone? Both Israel and Hamas fighters/leaders? Just Hamas . . .? Read this: mwi.westpoint.edu/gazas-underg...
Gaza’s Underground: Hamas’s Entire Politico-Military Strategy Rests on Its Tunnels - Modern War Institute
The use of tunnels in wars is not new. Seeking advantages by using either natural or man-made spaces underground is as ancient as warfare itself—from stories of tunnels being used to win massive battl...

1918? These shoes are modern and might easily be worn by fashionistas today! Love these.

The problem isn’t Christianity or Christians, it’s that Riverstone Academy will use taxpayer dollars to fund a public school curriculum. This violates the U.S. Constitution’s core precept against the government establishing a religion.

Genocide by whom, Puritan?
December 11, 2025 at 2:27 AM
Hold on there, my friend. First, speak plainly instead of with nuance. People died. Great human suffering occurred. It’s not over yet, either. Are you implying that Israel shouldn’t have attacked at all given Hamas’ military strategy?
December 11, 2025 at 1:26 AM
And here I suspected Iran (Hamas and Hezbollah are its proxy terrorists, after all) and Palestinian aid money (like misused U.S. aid money). Qatar doesn’t surprise me, though.

You’re so right! The comic relief from posts like yours are my “antidepressants” right now. Well . . . that and chocolate.

LOL! Thanks for the laugh!

Pro-Palestinian propaganda plays a big role in rising antisemitism. We must look more closely at funding sources for on campus groups, as well as the groups’ official positions on Jews and Israel. Frankly, many students are exiting college with baked-in, unexamined antisemitic viewpoints.
December 10, 2025 at 9:13 PM
Adding this point: The accusation that Israel has engaged in genocide, to explain the destruction in Gaza, ignores Hamas’ “human shield” strategy which was aimed at killing their own civilians to gain international sympathy. That’s biased, and can easily move into antisemitic hate speech.
December 10, 2025 at 9:06 PM
Of course these 2 things aren’t the same, but they do overlap. For example, people are hatefully biased when they blame Israel, alone, for the death and destruction in Gaza since 10/7/23. Certainly, Hamas’ is also to blame for their “human shield” military strategy.
