SAY: Laura 'Mack & Ernie' (like there's 3 of us!)
I think about this quote almost daily at the moment. To me, it explains a lot of Labour’s weirdnesses.

We’ve done the same. Switched over in Jan, make a pot every Sunday night and then batch up to eat over the week with daily curries, dals etc. It keeps better, reheats beautifully and is much easier to cook as well as being healthier ❤️

This part of the guidance also doesn’t make sense.

Do they think kids in isolation are literally left on their own in a cupboard?

Tbf, I do try to dress like her most days…

Always loved Clive James’ take on this.

Now had it do a full count on yellow!

Was five, but I recently ruined one!

Teacher salaries haven’t increased as much as average earnings. (Doctor lines are same).

But I always wonder: how much of this is because of huge minimum wage increases bringing the average up?

Shit is getting real over here.

We’ve decamped to the biggest wall in the house…

If anyone wants to get further down this rabbit hole I heartily recommend Ivo Moseley’s ‘In The Name Of The People’

(And yes, grandson of *that* Moseley. Which is one reason he’s quite concerned about, and quite knowledgeable about, fascism).

We really need to get some string!

Government money helper website mentions it. www.moneyhelper.org.uk/en/family-an...
There’s interest costs, and they’re chunky, but it is an option. (Again, they don’t want to incentivise people to hold on).

Well, if the Greens are going to be a bigger part of the conversation, I’m going to need to learn a bit more about their history, so I’ve dug out this 1984 classic… (Just before they changed their name, they were still the Ecology Party!)

I see you, senior Tory, giving away your millennial roots…

Can anyone else spot the tell?

In truth, though, most employers don’t care. I believe Caplan is correct in saying what qualifications do is show a trifecta of intelligence, conformity and conscientiousness and that’s a handy combo for them.

Ages since a Schools Week first paragraph raised my eyebrows quite so high! 😮

Last week at Labour Conference there was lots of chat about wanting to give children more choice over what they learn.

But it always prompts me to think of this question. It’s a good challenge.

Bit baffled on this. Can anyone help? I thought all pupils could doodle during exams and then just cross the doodle out (if any danger of it being marked?!)

Someone sent me this recently and it’s so perfect

I really hope they write this up but as an official looking report.

There’s a wonderful bit in Ece Temelkuran’s book on how counties fall to dictators. She notes the below (on feeling mediocre) and the power of being told “It’s not you, (who is mediocre), it is them holding you back from greatness”

Front page, congrats! Looking forward to reading.

There are “transformative changes to Right to Buy” < WHAT ARE THEY, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD?

There are also “other measures” to do various abstract nouns. (No idea).

More Capital Lettered Things.

Wait, what is the Bank? That sounds good. SAY MORE ABOUT THE BANK!
