I wrote an essay on the symbolism of names in an Alice Munro short story on a two hour ferry ride, took a bus to UVic, went straight to the computer lab, printed and handed it in. Got an A+ and was told it was publishable. GenAI could fucking never.
I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

A part of me really wants to start posting the most bat-shit, modest proposal type nonsense I can think of and commenting that TFG is right about it to see how many MAGA dorks agree with it. Fortunately the sane part of me stops me from engaging with the clowns.

The Blue Jays’ season coming down to one game isn’t all that new. But having it be the AL East championship that’s on the line is wild. I wish Gausman being on the mound made it less stressful, but Kevin could pitch a one-hit game and our offense would find a way to make it a 1-0 loss.
