Heya! I'm Crowbar, an artist making art for TTRPGs, visual novels, and board games by day, and feeding the worm that lives in my head with BG3 fanart by night.

Baldur's Gate 3 fancomic. "Welcome to the Underdark, we have mushrooms!" Aldiirn elatedly announces against a backdrop of enormous, colourful, glowing mushrooms and fungi.

"This one is great for slicing up and marinating!" he says, pointing to ripplebark growing from the cave wall. "or cut and dry for use in construction!"

"This one explodes," Aldiirn gestures to Shadowheart who is now unnerved to be surrounded by glowing hot torchstalk.

"This one can be moved over a fire to cook a soup in its water reservoir!" Aldiirn introduces barrelstalk, a pitcher-like fungus the size of its name. He continues, "but if it's in spore, it will kill you."

"This one puffs out noxious fumes!" Aldiirn smiles, "that then explode."

Karlach points at a squat mushroom, "So what's this one, boom or food?"

"It won't hurt you," Aldiirn smiles.

Aldiirn's smile goes from closed to a wide grin when the mushroom releases its mind-altering spores in Karlach's face, causing her to laugh uncontrollably.

sorry sometimes i remember i love writing Guys Did You Know i wrote a bg3 shadowzel walmart au fic and someone turned it into a podfic and it’s literally one of the coolest things that’s ever happened to me.

Maybe Aldiirn should have informed the party of what they were looking for so they could, y'know, get these reactions out beforehand lmao. Some folks correctly guessed Aldiirn's salve is t-gel, what else would the mushroom look like??? #bg3 #art

Baldur's Gate 3 fancomic. Amidst a forest of giant fungi, Aldiirn smiles and gestures to an unseen mushroom below the bottom edge of the panel. "This is it! The mushroom I've been searching for!"

"Quite the girthy specimen!" Gale exclaims and leans to get a closer look.

Astarion and Shadowheart have followed the other two. On seeing the mushroom, Astarion has to stifle an incredulous laugh while Shadowheart is wide-eyed and blushing.

Aldiirn and Gale are kneeling on either side of the mushroom, discussing how to harvest a sticky white sap that exudes from the cap.

Aldiirn explains to Gale how to stroke the stem of the mushroom to draw more of the fluid up from where it's stored in bulbs at the base. Gale follows directions with gusto.

Astarion, still holding back a laugh, ushers over the rest of the party. Lae'zel is utterly unimpressed by the mushroom while Wyll is taken aback by it's appearance. Shadowheart has moved to the side but now leans in with curiousity.

Karlach barges into the scene, nothing holding back her reaction to the mushroom as Astarion and Lae'zel are sent flying. "That's a penis!" she shouts for all.

"The resemblance is remarkable!" Gale heartily agrees.

Aldiirn can only turn to hide his look of shame from the party.

1/ The docks situation is a clusterfuck with Astarion, Karlach, and Aldiirn all going through sudden crises. Aldiirn helps Wyll convince Karlach to go to Avernus, but that Aldiirn doesn't react to Karlach touching and accidentally searing his face is a big clue something's wrong with him. #tavqotd

With your kendo and martial arts training you got some fantastic basis for life modelling! My fav models were always folks who had done theatre or martial arts because they could really bring flow and poise to their poses.

That said this has been a weird riding season for me, I’ve barely been riding but run into more situations than usual. I think this season set a provincial record for most riders killed. Something’s fucky.
