"What are you on" is probably the best comment I ever got on social media. It's a sign I'm on the right track. :-)

Spending the afternoon watching Sinbad the Sailor was the most chill I'd been in a long time. I am contemplating a Sinbad/Jason/Clash of the Titans weekend.

Defending Catholicism is weird to me but no matter I feel about them, I can't stand it when any group gets misrepresented. They believe compassion is your duty to absolutely everyone - there isn't a "hierarchy".

I finally realised bird baths are designed with the knowledge that birds will perch on the edge and unload any poop they may have stored up. So maybe they're more bird toilets than bird baths.

Kinda hard to sell me on next-gen tech when I don't even like this-gen tech all that much.

I still have some clocks that need to be set forward by hand and wonder why the German funkuhr clocks/radio transmissions did not get adopted worldwide.

I always thought of the masculine universe as more box-shaped than spherical.

At last I have decided the question "what to do about my family" and the result was "write them letters". They can't gaslight you if you're not in the room.

The British are devilishly good at this.

The billionaires censor messages critical of them on the socials. They should have expected that people would just Krylon-tweet on the wall of their car dealerships.

Yesterday I learned about forced rhubarb. Way less violent than it sounds.

I kinda feel like "rapid unplanned disassembly" is what America is doing right now.

I just heard the term "LuddAI" and I think, yeah, I'd use use that to describe myself.

I'm very excited to be going to a gig for the first time in a decade ( not counting festivals and stadium concerts).

The increase in length of days this time of year is amazing. I started my last early shift in the dark, and this week the sun was fully up. The solar shed is getting enough power to run the freezer 24/7 off-grid again.

The exchange last night brought back memories of that high school bully who would act offended at any exchange (looking at them funny, even) and start punching while claiming the fight was your own fault. I have not seen that sort of behaviour since the age of 8, but that's our POTUS now.

I have to keep reminding myself that nothing has changed. The nation-state has never been a friend or ally. I mean, it could be, but 100% of the time the state is absorbed by the inbred moneyed power base and we're left to fight for the scraps.

Oh, loook! Britain appeases fascism. Again.

The context behind Chapo Trap House using the King Missile song was that there is an Internet rumour that a controversial high profile billionaire has a robo-dong as the result of botched cosmetic surgery on said appendage. Do not allow this rumour to spread and fester.

Listening to a podcast and sometimes music is used for emphasis and usually the music is some ultra-hip-obscure thing. Yesterday I am listening to Chapo and they played the intro to Detachable Penis by King Missile and I feel like I was the only one that got the joke.

Just one of those weekends where I had two proseccos, poutine, chicken kebab and half a box of Lindors and lost half a pound... :-)

I work hard to make beautiful, functional websites. I don't think "HTTP/1.1 200 OK" is good enough. My efforts are worth a "HTTP/1.1 209 EXCELLENT" or "HTTP/1.1 210 GOOD-JOB".

I like that Japanese idea that when something is broken and repaired, the cracks are outlined in gold leaf so it becomes an aesthetic feature of the object. We'd tend to make any repairs blend in so they are hidden from the observer.

Me, limping. "What Happened"? I hurt my back. "Doing what?" Sleeping. Behold, the ravages of age!
