Every Republican president is a coastal elite. Last Republican president who didn’t grow up on the coast was Eisenhower.

The bottom 40% pay other taxes, like the gas tax, alcohol and tobacco taxes, and increasingly tariffs. They also pay payroll taxes for other social programs.

Just because they pay no income tax doesn’t mean they don’t pay more of a total percentage of their income.

Saddened, but not surprised. All I can say is thank you for everything.
