I think you'd enjoy it. It's a sort of TW/Battle Brothers sort of game. Ripe with inaccuracies/compromises I'm sure. But it's an interesting way to show how an army might operate I haven't seen in other games (IE: Do you raid a friendly town because you're out of money, but your troops need to eat)

Truly wonderful to discover I could enjoy the 8 hours a day I have to spend earning a living, in our modern society
