Been working on a few projects of late. Apothecaries to proxy Fabius bike and a master of possession as well as some possessed. I’m even fiddling with converting some normal mk VI marines into extra possessed. Very excited to see how they come out!

I’ve been trying to get the Christmas commemorative model done up before Christmas Day and so far I’m liking how things are going! The change from the darker, muted palette my alpha legion use to bright cheery colors is very fun!

Amazingly, I still have one of my very first models from when I was 13. It was the very beginning of 6th edition and I’d just played the first space marine game, so naturally i got some marines with jump packs and went to work. Comparison to some chosen alpha legion squad I finished the other day.

5 of 10 Alpha Legion Chosen done! Can’t wait to finish up the other five and sort out what the next unit I want to work on will be. I’m still hurting for a troop transport so a Deimos pattern rhino might be in the near future! #warhammer40k

Words cannot express how excited I am for my chosen. The Alpha Legion head upgrades and the new melee upgrade sprues really help make them stand out. I also repurposed an old power fist I had with a pointing finger for one and I think he’s gonna look real menacing painted and based.

Thinking back on it now, it’s very funny that of all the warhammer I’ve painted, it’s always been marines. Dark angels in 6th, exorcists for 8th, now alpha legion. And it’s always using loyalist style, even now with my CSM list using Horus heresy minis lmfao.

Haven’t been able to sleep so instead I worked on some more plasma rifle guys for the alpha legion. Got one more guy to wrap up and then I’m onto working on some chosen with the melee upgrade sprue I finally picked up today.

Magnetized and prepped some bases tonight for a break from doing trim and detail work on some models. Now my fingers have a protective film of super glue over them to boot!

Nice! I’ve been putting together my own alpha legion legionary kill team as well! I’ve been purposefully trying to go for low chaos but idk how to represent the anointed as a result…here’s a picture of the one that I’m finishing up now to be my heavy gunner with reaper chain gun.
