Misti has such an open and kind heart as a person and an editor. Before her editing business bloomed, she heard about my book and offered to do a free edit. He waited only a moment before barging in, taking a minute to understand the scene in front of him. Noticing her bloodshot eyes, the blood coating her hands and arms, then the gentle cradling of the bundle in her arms, he took a deep breath and stepped inside. "Mercy," he whispered, pointing to the wrapped blanket, "is that what I think it is?"

So good news about my external hard drive. They've been able to recover A LOT on it. Downside is that there a TON of pictures (maybe other files) that lost their designation so I'm going to have to go through them and reorganize into their original subfolders. As long as I have them, I'm good.
