Mitcham Vestry Hall, built in 1887, had a bell on top of the clocktower for summoning the volunteer firemen. For it be heard in Colliers Wood, the tower was built to 80 feet high. (the bell in the photo was photoshopped on - the original was removed in WW2)

I have a vague recollection of the Baked Potatoes shop in Mitcham Road, Tooting. How long was it there? This clip from The Bill aired 18th November 1993, as viewed from Bickley Street, next to The Foresters Arms (now The Antelope).
