In two hours I’ll start teaching a full-day class with a curriculum I built from scratch, shaped around what I’ve learned 6 years ago and Im still learning, mostly by reading and doing. Its my 3rd time teaching this but every time I make it a bit more my own: high on knowledge, aligned with practice

Incidence of bad decisions? I don’t know. What I know: the annual risk= 100%
Protective factors: friends who say ‘don’t,’ coffee, occasional wisdom, random luck.
Why no RCT? No one’s brave enough to randomize participants into the ‘bad decision’ arm! … maybe we need a Bad Decisions Cohort Study :/

Research has probably answered it already: How much of our behaviour is driven by intention? How much can we really get the hang of it? How much do we even need to? And if we do, will this ‘getting the hang of it’ change our feelings, and in what direction?

Extrapolation? If myopia were grabbing pleasure now, hyperopia would be deferring it for a distant future, so distant you risk missing the joy right in front of you.

Research methods and design are not purely technical choices; they also carry an artistic element, adapted to bring the answer to life. Art can be a research methodology in itself, but here it is not; rather, it is integrated into other methodologies of research.
