The closest equivalent to me is like, Kaizo Mario. Just a constant assault of objects with seemingly no form, or reason for existing other than making it a more miserable experience. But stick with it long enough and you can manage to see the intention and work through it, despite the difficulty.

This is what a $2 million 4-bedroom house in Sydney looks like.

Depends on what you're vibing with about it! But in general:

The Witness for puzzles hiding in plain sight. The "once you see it..." feeling.

Outer Wilds for unlocking this big puzzle box run by run.

Lorelai and the Laser Eyes for needing a pen and paper to explore a mansion with a mystery.

I think what it might be trying to say is that the act of downloading a digital game is less Carbon than buying a physical game, but "as a whole" digital games require more Carbon due to servers and other factors.

I agree, I don't want any help from them. And I do think cringe characters can only work when it is at least somewhat intentional (which I believe Frey in Forspoken was.) And if the character is cringe to make their death satisfying, all the better.

I just think media is allowed to have characters who are a bit cringe.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pull together any unrelated links! I of course do not believe there is a single entity calculating such decisions, nor that you would receive such news and immediately go public with it. But the news is a sobering coincidence.

I gotta say though: It sure is a ballsy move by the ABC to expose unethical practices in a major Australian gaming outlet one day, and on the very next day layoff one of the most respected gaming journalists in the country. Not sure I quite understand the logic there.

Damn, end of an era. You did great work in your time there, as did the entire rest of the team. I'm sorry that The Man keeps on coming for you. ❤️

aaaaaaaaahhhhhh congratulations!! ❤️ The world is about to be treated with either the raddest baby in existence, or a legendary April Fools bit. I'm personally hoping for the former, but either way it's a win-win!

My Twitter recommended feed ended up becoming like 80% Cloti / Clerith shipping wars, despite never engaging with it, and it was no joke probably the most heinous place I have ever found myself in online. I'm sure worse places exist, but it was truly horrific.

I know logistically that's not how it all works but it's still morally bankrupt and unforgivable.

Oh yes, no that is my bad, I was just going off the one year. It's late here lol. But still, to be able fund feeding every single person on Earth for a year and not even make a dent in your wealth is just... it's actual evil.

While you're not technically wrong, "well over half a trillion dollars" is a funny way of saying 960 billion dollars.

Ethel Cain is honestly a pretty strong contender for this.
