For British people who think getting private health insurance is a good idea.
Look at pet insurance for an example of how that will work out. Today I received my renewal for 3 cats. One elderly, never had a claim in his long life, increased from £440 a year to £572.

I am so grateful for the NHS. A year ago, I was having surgery in London for neuroendocrine cancer in my small bowel, a few months later having radiotherapy to halt the growth of the metastatic tumours in my liver.
I've come so far. Next up, knee replacement, after surgery was postponed last Thurs

Bah! All psyched up for a knee replacement today, and North Devon District Hospital rings me yesterday to postpone my surgery as the hospital is overwhelmed. No idea how long I will have to wait for surgery to be rescheduled.
