I see, to be fair I can see how they would integrate CoPilot to some degree into that Windows NT Kernel to make it so persistent that there is truly no way to opt out of using it (I've heard it's already integrated into the file browser, making the file browser unusable when disabling copilot).

Well WSL was kinda trash imo... you have the downsides of windows and then you just use a worse version of linux.
It was a crutch where I had to use it for work and while it did work and help a lot, what helped the most was switching to Linux completely.

Last time when I installed a Windows it didn't scream at me, instead it put me to sleep with how slow the process was.
Meanwhile I recently installed the latest ubuntu on a 10+ yr old laptop with 4 GB of RAM in about 20 minutes... I was surprised that even worked, but I know win11 wouldn't have.

Last PC I bought was cheaper and had no OS, so I immediately installed Linux on it AND saved money! :3

I wasn't aware that you made your own software for video editing. I've been using Shotcut, which did the job for me so far.
Also I'd like to mention that while I'm a huge fan of Krita, for pixel art & animation specifically I like Pixelorama the most.
Both are FOSS.
