Today it's the removal of all reference to trans people from the Stonewall National Monument's website that has me pulling out my hair. Because WHO LED the Stonewall Riots, for god's sake!! 2/

The quake app on my phone has been jingling regularly since late this morning. Can't decide if Adak is going to sink under the waves or an entire new continent is going to rise up out of the North Pacific. :)

I had a 110 film camera and was frustrated with how blurry my family photos were, so I did some research and picked the OM1 as my first SLR. Wow! What a difference and what fun! I have a Nikon D75 DSLR 50 years later and I entertain my ancient self by wandering around outside pointing it at stuff.

I used Kodachrome when my kids were growing up, because it was cheap to have developed. I've a collection of slides of family activities and Alaskan scenery. I'm so glad I chose it. I'm no fine arts photographer, but that film and my Olympus OM1 captured some amazing landscapes and family moments.

I walked into my high school cafeteria and staff were crying. I was shocked and heartbroken, and I was suddenly tossed out of my little world of family and friends and into the wider world forever more.
