I have never seen a community of people so united and so committed to helping each other in the face of something so terrible, in my decades of reporting on terrible things.

The people of Minneapolis are all in this together, legit. You can feel it and see it everywhere. It's incredible.

People quietly observing the spot where federal agents killed Alex Pretti, while about 50 yards away the crowd in the intersection lets out booming chants of ICE OUT NOW.

Had a few hundred on all corners at 50th & France. Decent turnout. Great signs. Loud chants. Lots of honks in support, including one light where the honking seemed to go on for a minute from all directions. 🧊 out!
