Enjoyed the chat. Very sad event here. Regrettably the right wing media echo chamber here is siding with Netanyahu and criticising the government and using it for talking points to divide the community.

I think it's a combination of things - compulsory voting, independent electoral commission, preferential voting plus more of a sense of we and not just I perhaps. Plus some luck - there are some concerns here too but less so in terms of far right than Europe US

There has been a movement against science elsewhere too where it doesn't suit large industry - eg climate sciences have been targeted. I believe a lot of this comes from the harmful tobacco lobbying that started a deliberate misinformation campaign and the PR is used against science now

Enjoy your podcast so thanks to you and Rocket. I will pick a bone. Thought Rocket's comments about Chriso after the expressing the view on Darcy Moore were well out of order. Maybe Chriso is a bit more tolerant than others but I thought the imputation was borderline.
