@washingtonpost.com @nytimes.com @morningjoe-msnbc.bsky.social The lead story in every newspaper and TV news show each day should be the utter dereliction of duty of Congress to stand up for the Constitution, their constituents, justice, human decency, and the well-being of average Americans.

Since when do social/historical institutions have to reflect and/or be aligned with the viewpoint of any U.S. president? NAZI Germany rewrote history books in the 1930s, titled "New Elements of Racial Research." That seems to be where we are heading in 2025 with Trump's viewpoint.

I have heard enough about poor officiating in the recent Fever-Wings game that resulted in a 81-80 defeat. Likewise, I have heard enough about how Stephanie White supposedly losing the game. Unfortunately, most of those comments have come from people who have never coached a game.

President Trump said the following about LA: "If people spit on the police, we are going to hit back." Where was that President on January 6, 2021, when Capitol police were not only being spit on, but physically attacked with weapons?

If anyone wants prove that the radical ideas of RFK Jr. are dangerous to the public, just look at the escalating number of measles cases...and the number of kids being treated for possible liver damage because their parents overloaded their children with Vitamin A.

The ignorance of the U.S. Constitution and the law is staggering among members of Congress, considering 51 percent of members of the Senate have a law degree and 30 percent of House members. Worst yet, looking the other way when the Trump adminstration breaks the law.

This is a perfect picture, in the respect that Donald Trump has demonstrated that he is not smarter than a fifth-grader and a grade school bully. Thus, it is very appropriate that he is shown here being isolated and ignored by his peers.

@maddow.msnbc.com Donald Trump and his followers do not give s*** about the education of American students. If they did, they would not be trying to eliminate the Dept. of Educ. I taught high school social studies for 40 years in a county in Wisconsin that does not have a stoplight. That means...

Is there anyone at the Wharton School of Business that believes Donald Trump knows what he is doing regarding tariffs? It is unbelievable that a POTUS can be so ignorant of economic reality and leading the USA into a new inflationary crisis.

I hope you or your guests never again refer to Pres. Trump as the "Leader of the Free World." Since the USA and seventeen other U.N. nations cannot cite Russia as the aggressor by attacking Ukraine...the POTUS is not leading the free world.

Question: If you had a chance to say one sentence to President Trump, what would it be?

My sentence: "Mr. President, facts do not cease to exist because the are ignored."

@lastword.msnbc.com @wallace.bsky.social @warren.senate.gov The Trump Adminstration cutting USAID is not about trimming "waste" and "fat" from the federal budget. USAID is less than one percent of that budget. It is about inflicting the most harm and disruption as possible. That is not leadership.

@washingtonpost.com @nytimes.com @wsj.com Where is Congress? Why is there not bipartisan blowback from having a non-vetted and non-confirmed citizen (Elon Musk) being in charge of non-existing political organization that is shutting down spending that Congress has earmarked? It is assine.

@washingtonpost.com @nytimes.com My vote for the quote of the week was by Rachel Maddow: "The words and actions by Trump and his allies have been largely shambolic." Shambolic is a British adjective that means "chaotic or disorganizing." Which is really the purpose of Project 2025.

@morningjoe-msnbc.bsky.social Donald Trump has already increased the risk to all Americans. Beyond the pardoning of violent insurrectionists that seek retribution, he has frozen the dissemination of vital information. The CDC for example cannot update hospitals on how to deal with bird flu.

@morningjoe-msnbc.bsky.social As a retired high school history teacher, I am conflicted. More than once, I have heard hosts and guests say "pay attention to what Trump does, not what he says." The error in that logic, it allows Trump to rewrite history. He lies daily, but some lies are intentional.

@nytimes.com @lastword.msnbc.com @maddow.msnbc.com @washingtonpost.com @nicollewallace.bsky.social Trump's pardons are fanning the flames of revenge and retaliation within his base just as he did with the insurrection on Jan. 6th---stoked by lies and disinformation. Is more violence inevitable?

The more Republicans respond to Trump's Jan. 6 pardons by saying the party is "looking at the future, not the past," the more I want to remind them of Faulkner's line:

"The past is never dead. It's not even past." www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...
On Jan. 6 pardons, Republicans struggle to defend the indefensible
Pressed on Trump's Jan. 6 pardons, many Republicans said they want to move on. But as Faulkner wrote, “The past is never dead. It’s not even past.”

@nicollewallace.bsky.social Dr. Martin Luther King said that "an injustice anywhere, threatens justice everywhere." The pardoning of those who violently attacked police during the Jan. 6th insurrection is an injustice. Just as Elie Wiesel, those who believe in the rule of law need to loudly protest.
