%age = percentage. Not age-based!😄

Βut is it "unAmerican"? Maybe the problem is that it is positively American for a significant %age of USA citizens?

Very optimistic.
Russia has a very long history of authoritarianism and not much else.

Speed of charging at a public facility still appears to be significantly slower than a 2 min petrol refill? (I have a 150k miles ICE that will need replacing at some point soonish but 1/2hr public rechargings doesn't attract.)
November 29, 2025 at 6:34 PM
A current major downside of eCar is you can't recharge at home - well at least a significant %age of population can't when living in an apartment block.

The failure to equate here is that the Christian community in earliest days was only for the dedicated minority. Pre Roman takeover (or vice versa) Church was not State. Church was a society distinct from State and organised itself in parallel to, and sometimes opposed by, State.

A Hard Day's Night is fair point and gives you the licence. But MMT not originally a bone fide album & LIB a post-breakup release both have excuses for no Ringo lead.

I'd still have Goodnight on the single album, although I think that's a minority opinion.

Where is Mince?
November 25, 2025 at 10:37 PM

Complaint just made to BBC including: "Please explain who made the editorial cut. What was the reason for the cut? Was there any input to this decision from UK Government? Is the BBC scared of Donald Trump?"
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

A legal obligation to obey lawful orders and a presumption that orders are lawful.

versus

An oath to disobey unlawful orders

Which one wins?

UK commentators say this is a wish. Without US Ukraine doesn't have enough support. Not sure if this is just a case of money - NATO runs on US arms and logistics.

Maybe it's true that it will generate relatively little revenue, but it's a totem.

If you can't even generate the will and consensus to increase taxes on the wealthy, how are you do anything more challenging to reverse increasing inequalities?
November 20, 2025 at 8:45 AM
Surely it depends what area of BBC we are talking about?
November 10, 2025 at 6:19 PM
Even if Robbie Gibb were exemplary surely there are just huge disqualifying potential conflicts of interest? He should be gone from BBC already.

Trump still says GOP can end it themselves. (But GOP chooses to continue their shutdown.) www.politico.com/news/2025/11...
Trump clings to filibuster demand as shutdown drags on
Despite a week full of political rebukes, President Donald Trump is still insisting on killing the filibuster to resolve the shutdown.

Need JD Vance's comment on this given his criticisms of UK (perceived lack of) free-speech related to prayers in public outside places connected to Abortion services.

No, that's alien to me having been born English. I have no stronger feelings for Henry V than for Abraham Lincoln, Saladin, Alexander, Hannibal etc.

Christianity throws a spanner in here too if you take it seriously: "There is neither Jew nor Greek..."

"...[Congress] is SUPPOSED to be... but..." - he said it right there.
